CERI JAMES BIOGRAPHY

A Swansea/London highbred, Ceri is well known on the South-East London music scene both for performing & arranging music events.

Formerly with London band Zen but since 2005 pursuing a solo career, one of Ceri's earliest demo recordings dating from 2003, First Frenzy, was released on the first Angular Records CD, New Cross - An Angular Sampler, which was voted the No 1 compilation 2004 by NME.

In 2005 Ceri compiled and with help, released Raw and Unplugged in New X CD or (I Love N X), containing a compilation of the best of the south London music scene, which finished No. 6 in Rough Trade's best Compilations of 2005. 2006 saw it's follow-up Replugged in New Cross which also received good reviews.

As a member of Zen, Ceri recorded with Gordon Raphael, the producer of The Strokes first two albums. Experienced as a performer, Ceri has played around Europe and in Nov 2005 went on a mini Tour of L.A. where he supported Art Brut at the Echo on Sunset Boulevard.

In summer 2007 as a member of the short-lived but fruitful Tuesday Heartbreak, Ceri penned the A-side to their single release Poor Little Rich Girl/Tuesday - available from MHM.

Solo single Start & Begin (6/9) was released on the 25th Feb 2008 as a worldwide download, it is also available as a CD single in shops and online from Amazon & iTunes and other music outlets!

Ceri can be found regularly playing in Central and South East London.

The debut solo album Agree To Disagree is released in May 2008!
